How do I check AQI for my city?
Search your city to see its live Air Quality Index, calculated using CPCB's own worst-pollutant method across PM2.5, PM10, NO2, SO2, CO and ozone. AQI refreshes every 6 hours (6 AM, 12 PM, 6 PM and 12 AM IST) from CPCB's monitoring stations via data.gov.in.
How do I get my city's weather?
Search your city for today's temperature, humidity, wind and a 3-day forecast, sourced directly from WeatherAPI.com. Each city's weather refreshes once a day, typically completing between 3 and 4 AM IST.
Where do I find gold prices?
Visit /gold-price/ for 24K, 22K and 18K gold rates plus silver, platinum and palladium, sourced from GoldAPI.io and updated once daily around 7 AM IST. Rates are national, not city-specific, so a local jeweller's own markup isn't reflected.
How do I check fuel prices?
See /fuel-price/ for today's petrol and diesel rates by state and city, sourced from Goodreturns.in (state) and MyPetrolPrice.in (city), both aggregating the rates India's state-owned oil marketing companies publish daily. Updated once a day.
Where are mandi prices?
Wholesale mandi prices for onion, tomato and other commodities are at /commodity-prices/, sourced from the Agmarknet mandi-reporting network via data.gov.in. Prices refresh up to twice daily, matching how often individual mandis actually report.
How do I check Panchang?
See /panchang/ for today's Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, sunrise, sunset and Rahu Kalam, calculated daily from Vedic ephemeris data via FreeAstrologyAPI.com, shifted for the roughly 113 cities with known coordinates.
Where's the USD to INR rate?
Check /currency/ for today's INR rate against USD and other major currencies, sourced from the Frankfurter API, built on European Central Bank reference rates. Updated once daily, around 7 AM IST.
How do I check if banks are open?
See /bank-holidays/ for today's bank status by state. Holiday dates come from RBI's own yearly Holiday Matrix, and whether a bank is open today is calculated live against that calendar plus the standing Sunday and 2nd/4th Saturday closure rule.
How often does data update?
It varies by dataset: AQI every 6 hours from CPCB, weather once daily from WeatherAPI.com, gold and currency once daily around 7 AM IST, mandi prices up to twice daily, and cricket scores hourly. Every dataset's exact source and schedule is listed on our Data Methodology page.
Is IndiaRealTime free to use?
Yes, IndiaRealTime is completely free, with no login or signup required. The Site is funded through advertising and occasional affiliate links, fully disclosed in our Privacy Policy, which never affects the data we publish. See our Help and FAQ page for more.

The process can be simplified as: Weather observations → Data processing → Numerical models → Meteorologist analysis […]
